| The road was formed by Tang Dynasty and connected Yunnan to Tibet, Burma, Nepal and India. Besides playing a pivotal role in the trade of tea and horse (as it is aptly named), the road was also a bridge for economic exchange between China and the other countries.
This trek will bring you to the famous Tiger Leaping Gorge, a deep gorge sandwiched between Haba Snow Mountain and Yulong Snow Mountain. You will also trek to the foothills of Meili Snow Mountain, one of the key sacred mountains in Tibetan Buddhism.
This is an excellent trek for novice trekkers as it involves mainly short treks. |
