4. We provide guidance and comprehensive Pre-Departure Briefing & Preparation to help those who are attempting a race/mega event ride for the first time.

5. A highly experienced SCT trip leader will be there to take care of the technical & logistical aspect during the trip. There will usually be a Pre-event FAM ride and sightseeing leisure cycling around the venue.

 A)   ??????Taiwan KoM 0-3275m Challenge Race: Spring Apr / Autumn Oct (1 day; cut-off time 6.5hrs)

Taiwan KoM Challenge, is a one-day UCI-race held annually in Hualien county Taiwan.  The route runs a total distance of 105km, starting at sea level from Qixingtan beach park in Hualien, passing though the spectacular Taroko Gorge and finishing at the 3275m summit of the highest passable road in Taiwan at WuLing on Hehuanshan.

Founded in 2012, the race is organized by the Taiwan Cyclist Federation with strong support from their Ministry of Transportation and Communication R.O.C., Tourism Bureau MOTC R.O.C., Hualien County Government, Nantou County Government.  The event has gained huge popularity over the years as it now attracts both amateurs and top professionals alike including Vincenzo Nibali, John Ebsen, Emma Pooley, Lucy Kennedy.

Taiwan KoM Challenge is often dubbed as one of the toughest climbs in the world.

An official certificate & finisher medal awaits those who complete the feat in under 6.5hrs.

 B)   ???365 - East Taiwan 365 Challenge Hualien-Taitung-Hualien

If you are up for this challenge, then All-Stars Tour of East Taiwan 365 Challenge, an annual event organise by Taiwan Cyclist Federation, IS FOR YOU!

SCT is honored to work with the committee to promote this together. 20 slots are allocated to book with SCT.

It is a great cycling challenge to participate if you are looking for a short 5D4N over the weekend kind of cycling trip.

We have added 1 day of sight-seeing ride around Hualien, heading up to Taroko Gorge via the coastal route through QiXingTan park.

SCT has a "more leisure" version which is our Scenic East Taiwan Coastal Ride, commonly known as ????.

In it, we cover 360km over 4-cycle days instead along the same loop from Hualien down south to Taitung on 11 & then back to Hualien via the inland Rift Valley route 9.

Starting at mid-night from Bali ?? in New Taipei city, you cycle 360km along the western coast using a combination of trunk roads 15, 61, 1 & 17 down to Pingtung.  There are 3 checkpoints with cut-off times along the way.

You will start the arduous journey from Fuguijiao lighthouse at the northern tip of Fenglin New Taipei and cycle your way down the western coast to the southern tip of Eluanbi lighthouse in Kenting.

This ??520 event is held in conjunction with the Taiwan-Kaohsiung 360, usually over the same weekend, except that the cyclists go the extra 160km (additional 10hours) from Kaoshiung to Kenting.

Day01 Arrive to Taipei. Pickup by our SCT SSVs for your transfer to Hualien. Group dinner & briefing.

Day02 SCT group warm-up & sight-seeing ride, along the coast to QiXingTan and to Taroko Gorge. Afternoon, event check-in & briefing (40-45km)

Day03 Event - Tour of East Taiwan 365 Challenge Flag-off.  Overnight in Taitung (175km)

Day04 Event - Tour of East Taiwan from Taitung back to Hualien (175km).  Completion & overnight in Hualien.

Day05 Hualien / Transfer back to Taipei.  Departure or optional extension

* You may also depart in the late afternoon/evening, ETA Taipei is 1-2pm
