Terengganu to Perak (SCT Tour of Malaysia - a 3-part cycling series) is suitable for the enthusiast cyclists who simply want to get out there to ride continuously (much like a multi-day stage races), but in a more relax/cycling-holiday mindset !

SCT has been operating cycling trips throughout Malaysia for almost a decade, taking hundreds and hundreds of cyclists of various levels to cycle all over Malaysia. Apart from the usual Desaru, Malacca, Frasers, Cameron, Ipoh, Penang. We also did Thailand to Singapore on 3 occasions previously.

From 2020, we are ready to take our Malaysia cycling to the next level, mainly for the community in Singapore as well around the region.

SCT Tour of Malaysia (East-West Traverse) is Part 2 of the entire Tour of Malaysia (Grand Loop) series.

This 2nd series Tour of Malaysia (East-West Traverse) is the MOST DEMANDING part of the entire series. You need to cross over the main spine of the Tittiwangsa mountain ranges, climbing up to an altitude in excess of 1000m.

You will start in Terengganu on the east and finish the ride in Ipoh on the west coast, from Stage 06-09.

Highlights

Our SCT-trained SSVs (Support-Sweeper Vehicles) with escort the peleton closely throughout the entire expedition, providing daily-luggage transfers, route leadership and markers, amenities (cold isotonics/water/nutritients), photo-taking of our cyclists.
Our SSVs is an overall safety vehicle for the group in case of inclement weather/emergencies, especially in this east-west traverse route as you are crossing the highlands where amenities are scarce.

Tour of Malaysia Series (Part 2) - EAST-WEST TRAVERSE

Day01 - SG / Arrive to Terengganu
Meet & Greet at our starting point at the same luxury resort in Terengganu. Event briefing & welcome dinner.
Day02 Stage06 - Start point resort / Kuala Terengganu (70km)
Event flag-off at resort. Today we take things alittle easy as a warm-up so you can have more time to rest in the morning.
Day03 Stage07 - K. Terengganu / Kelantan (150km)
Day04 Stage08 - Kelantan / Gerik (172km)
Day05 Stage09 - Gerik / Ipoh (140km)
Cycling ends. Celebration dinner hosted in Ipoh by SCT & our hotel partner.
Day06 - Departure back to SG (8hrs drive)
Load up our chartered transport for your transfer direct back to Singapore (or own departure)
